Meteorological Department Issues Second Warning for Summer Storms
The Meteorological Department has issued its second warning about summer storms affecting upper Thailand from February 23-25. The Northeast region will be the first to experience these storms, with subsequent impacts expected in the North, Central, Bangkok, metropolitan, and Eastern regions. The warning includes thunderstorms, strong wind gusts, hail, and heavy rainfall in some areas, potentially accompanied by lightning. The storms are caused by high-pressure systems and cold air masses from China moving into the region. The department advises citizens to avoid open spaces, areas under large trees, unstable structures, and weak advertising signs. Farmers are recommended to reinforce fruit trees and prepare to protect agricultural produce and livestock.
