Police Warn Against Alcohol Sales and Distribution Before Election Day

The National Police Office is preparing for election safety, warning against alcohol sales from 6 PM today and inviting people to download the 'Police Care' app for simple election law information. Police Commander Lt. Gen. Chaitapon Suwannaruk announced that on Sunday, February 8, 2569 (2026), Police Chief Pol Gen Kittarat Panphet has instructed police to maintain strict neutrality and protect election security. Police will be responsible for securing polling stations, managing overall safety, and facilitating traffic. The police have been warned to carefully study election laws and follow security plans. The National Police Office is strictly prohibiting the sale, distribution, or hosting of alcohol from 6 PM today until 6 PM tomorrow. Violations may result in up to 6 months imprisonment, a fine of up to 10,000 baht, or both.
