Police Arrest Two Women Selling Drugs to Foreign Tourists at Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan
Surat Thani Provincial Police conducted a drug suppression operation on January 30, 2024, arresting two women selling drugs during the Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan.
The first suspect, Ms. Prakaipon (nickname "Aeef"), 31 years old, was arrested with 0.05 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 16 methamphetamine pills. She was captured in front of her home in Moo 2, Ban Tai Subdistrict, Koh Phangan District.
The second suspect, Ms. Wanwisak (nickname "Peung"), 28 years old, was arrested with 1.21 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 56 methamphetamine pills. Both suspects confessed to the charges.
The women were charged with selling Category 1 narcotics, possession of drugs for distribution, and illegal drug consumption. They were handed over to Koh Phangan Police Station for further legal proceedings.
This operation was in line with the National Police Office's policy to target drug distribution, illegal weapons, and criminal activities in tourist areas, particularly during large events like the Full Moon Party.
