Just a Week After Father's Death, Brazen Thief Breaks into Home and Steals Precious Buddha Amulets in Front of Deceased's Shrine
Arthit Luangla, 39, a private employee, reported a burglary at his two-story family home in Klong Maplap Sub-district, Sri Nakhon District, Sukhothai Province. Just one week after leaving the house in his relatives' care following his father's death on January 14th, thieves broke in through a ground floor window around 3:20 AM. The intruder carefully searched the home for valuables, spending over two hours and stealing numerous precious family Buddha amulets, including those passed down from his grandfather and great-grandfather. The theft occurred brazenly in front of the deceased father's shrine and photograph, with the stolen items estimated to be worth hundreds of thousands of baht. Arthit believes the perpetrator is likely a local who knew the house was unoccupied and is urgently requesting police to investigate and capture the thief.
