On February 3, 2026, at the Victory Monument, the Veterans Affairs Organization held a commemorative event to honor and celebrate brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect the nation's independence and sovereignty. The event, titled '3 February Veterans Day: Remembering the Royal Grace of Queen Sirikit', paid tribute to the soldiers' heroism and their ultimate sacrifice. Prime Minister Anuthin Charnweerakul presided over the ash-placing ceremony for 42 soldiers who died while protecting the Thai-Cambodian border, with Military Veterans Organization Director General Karnnat Nikornyanont and families of the fallen soldiers in attendance. The event also included a military parade with over 3,000 veterans from various conflicts, a wreath-laying ceremony, and an evening 'Night of Honor' event to commemorate these national heroes.
