Chaos in Sattahip: Thousands of Motorcycle Riders Descend on Nang Ram Beach
On February 1st, a large motorcycle group known as the "Durian Nont Long Stem Trip" gathered approximately 700-1,000 motorcycles at Nang Ram Beach in Sattahib District, Chonburi Province. Many riders were observed driving recklessly and making loud noises, causing concern among local residents who took to social media to express their frustration. Police Colonel Komson Kumtunkaew, the Sattahip Police Station chief, immediately deployed officers to set up strict checkpoints and monitor the situation. Traffic police, motorcycle patrol units, and special investigation teams were mobilized to enforce traffic laws. Following complaints about racing and excessive noise on Road 3126 near the Sai Mai intersection, authorities seized 14 motorcycles for further investigation. The police chief emphasized that while Sattahip welcomes tourists, they must travel responsibly, follow traffic laws, and avoid dangerous riding that could harm local residents. The police warned that any vehicles found violating traffic regulations would be subject to strict enforcement, with the primary goal of ensuring public and rider safety.
