Breaking: 44 Move Forward MPs Found Guilty of Serious Ethical Violations in Article 112 Amendment Case
On February 9, 2024, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) held a meeting to determine the legal culpability of 44 former Move Forward Party MPs, who are accused of severely violating ethical standards by collectively signing a proposal to amend the Criminal Code's Article 112. The 44 individuals, who are currently former MPs of the People's Party and some former Move Forward Party executive board members, had previously been politically disqualified by the Constitutional Court. The NACC will compile and send the case to the Supreme Court, which will review the case files. If the court decides to accept the charges, the politicians will be immediately suspended from their duties.
