Administrative Court Schedules February 3rd Ruling on Election Commission Referendum Registration Lawsuit
On January 30, 2024, the Administrative Court Office announced that on February 3rd at 1:30 PM, the Central Administrative Court will deliver a verdict on a lawsuit filed against the Election Commission (EC). The lawsuit concerns the EC's decision to allow out-of-area referendum registration for only 3 days (January 3-5, 2024), during which the system could not handle mass registrations and there was insufficient public communication. This resulted in many citizens, who were able to register for advance voting, being unable to register for out-of-area referendum participation.
