Gun Jompalang Orders Movement of 20 Containers to Trat, Preventing Chinese and Cambodian Military Provocation
On February 5, 2024, at 3:00 PM in Nong Chan Village, Sa Kaeo Province, Kanthat Phongpaiboonvej (known as Gun Jompalang) announced a convoy of 20 container trucks will move to the Trat border region tomorrow (February 6). He has coordinated with the Navy Commander, Marine Corps Commander, and Trat Provincial Police to ensure security and traffic management during the transport. The operation aims to protect military personnel and local residents, with concerns about potential provocations from Cambodian forces. Gun emphasized that the military's presence is standard and defensive, warning that Cambodia might attempt to stage provocative situations similar to previous incidents in Sa Kaeo province.
