Viral Video Shows Woman Confronting Temple Abbot Over Alleged Multiple Relationships
Social media viral clips have emerged showing a woman confronting a temple abbot and referencing a man called 'Ajarn A', alleging the abbot's involvement with three women. Another video shows two women arguing about trying to win the abbot's affection.
Temple reporters visited the Bang Kruai district temple in Nonthaburi but could not locate the abbot, who had left for a religious retreat on 15 February. Monks at the temple suggested the allegations might stem from work-related interactions, particularly with a Buddha statue foundry owner.
The assistant abbot, Phra Chayaphol Silasutho, stated that if the abbot confirms his voice in the clips, proper procedures must be followed. He also suggested the clips might be intended to damage the abbot's reputation.
The temple mentioned several women connected to the incident: Pong (statue casting), Fah and On (temple activity assistants), and Sae (a Myanmar national previously working at the temple who was asked to leave).
A local vendor expressed skepticism about the allegations, suggesting potential interpersonal conflicts might be driving the controversy.
