Live from the Front: Launching the 2026 Moral Promotion Plan and Good Credit System
Recently, Prasop Riangngen, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and chairman of the moral assessment committee, together with Chaiyapol Sukeiam, Director-General of the Department of Religious Affairs, held a meeting to explain the implementation guidelines for the National Moral Promotion Action Plan Phase 2 (2023-2027) for the fiscal year 2026. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Culture's conference center on the 8th floor and online.
Prasop Riangngen revealed that the meeting analyzed the action plan indicators from the previous year, noting developments in key target indicators. Specifically, the moral index of five key qualities - sufficiency, discipline, integrity, volunteer spirit, and gratitude - scored 4.36, showing an upward trend that reflects positive behavioral changes in moral conduct.
The meeting included special presentations on creating moral immunity in the digital age, the direction of the national moral promotion plan, and the criteria for selecting outstanding moral organizations, districts, and provinces. A key innovation is the development of a concrete 'good deed credit' system that shifts from punishment to recognition and motivation.
