Parents Complain: Teacher Punishes 3rd Grade Students by Making Them Stand and Wai for Hours Daily for a Month

A 47-year-old parent brought his 9-year-old son to meet the school director to seek justice after the child was punished by being forced to stand and perform a traditional wai in front of the classroom for one hour daily for nearly a month. The child, identified as 'A', explained that he was punished for playing and running during a time when the teacher had forbidden such activities. Approximately 10 other students were also subjected to the same punishment, causing the child to lose interest in attending school. The teacher defended the action, stating that the students were warned about potential accidents and were told they would be punished for disobeying. The school director promised to investigate the matter, talk to the parents, console the students, and establish measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
