GHB Bank Sets Transaction Limits on App to Prevent Fraud, Effective March 2024
Government Housing Bank (GHB) is increasing customer safety in digital financial services by introducing enhanced transfer and payment monitoring through the GHB ALL GEN Application. The bank will set daily transaction limits to help reduce fraud risks and prevent damages from scammers, tailoring the limits to different customer usage behaviors to make transactions more secure. If any unusual activity occurs, this approach will also improve the chances of faster fund recovery. The Bank of Thailand supports these measures for financial institutions to set appropriate daily transfer and payment limits. GHB will divide transaction limits into three levels: S level (maximum 50,000 baht/day for those requiring extra security), M level (maximum 200,000 baht/day for average users), and L level (over 200,000 baht/day for customers with frequent large transfers and normal usage history), effective from March 2024. Customers can temporarily adjust their transfer limits through the GHB ALL GEN application for convenience.
