Police Colonel Thawee Visits Mosque and Islamic School to Support 'Lawyer Koha' in Pattani District 4 Election
On February 4, 2026, in Sai Buri District, Pattani, Police Colonel Thawee Sordsoong, leader of the Pracha Chart Party, visited the area to campaign for Abdul Kohar Awae Puteh ('Lawyer Koha'), a parliamentary candidate for Pattani's District 4. The first stop was Sai Buri Islamic School, where Thawee emphasized the importance of education in the southern border provinces. He stated that education is a state investment, not a profit-making enterprise. Thawee pledged to restore human dignity, address student loan burdens, and use education as a tool for improving quality of life. He proposed establishing tax-free zones in the southern border provinces to attract investment, reducing fuel prices to 20 baht per liter for fisheries and agriculture, and maintaining rubber prices at 80 baht per kilogram. He also advocated for diverse community participation in security policy and took a strong stance against drug issues, promising to reclassify cannabis and kratom as controlled substances to protect youth.
