Sakon Nakhon province is home to many exemplary Buddhist monks, including Phra Rajavachiramongkolmuni, also known as Luang Pu Sutham Dhammapalo from Wat Thep Kanyaram. He is a revered forest monk who has dedicated his life to Buddhism with unwavering commitment. Born on June 20, 1925, in Nong Than Nuea Village, Sakon Nakhon province, he became a monk at the age of 21. He was personally mentored by Luang Pu Mun, a legendary forest meditation master, and became his last disciple. Throughout his life, he has been known for his exceptional meditation practice and spiritual discipline. On March 3, 2025, he was granted a royal ecclesiastical title of Phra Rajavachiramongkolmuni, recognizing his lifelong dedication to Buddhist practice. Despite his advanced age, he remains in good health and continues to be a respected spiritual figure in the community.
