Tragic: British Woman Dies from Paracetamol Poisoning After Repeated Dental Pain Medication
A tragic incident occurred on February 22, involving Jessica Reynolds, a 23-year-old British woman who died from paracetamol poisoning. Reynolds had previously attempted an overdose following emotional pain from a breakup, and subsequently took repeated doses of pain medication for dental issues. Initially surviving her first overdose, she did not seek medical treatment. The following month, she began experiencing difficult breathing, vomiting, and confusion. Upon hospital examination, doctors discovered severe liver failure caused by accumulated paracetamol toxicity. Despite receiving emergency treatment, including antidote medication and dialysis, her condition rapidly deteriorated. She passed away in the early morning of July 25 from multi-organ failure, with autopsy results confirming severe liver damage. Medical experts warn about the risks of unintentional paracetamol overdose, recommending adults not exceed 4,000 mg per day and to seek immediate medical attention if experiencing symptoms like nausea, confusion, or abdominal pain.
