Factory Workers Flee in Panic as Loud Explosion Triggers Foam Factory Fire
Workers narrowly escaped as a loud explosion triggered a massive fire at a foam manufacturing plant in Chonburi province. At 12:00 PM, police from Mueang Chonburi and municipal firefighters, including Mayor Chatchai Ang-lim, responded to the emergency. The fire broke out in a large foam factory near a residential area, with flames quickly spreading across a dirt area filled with foam boxes. Firefighters spent over an hour battling the intense blaze, eventually containing it within a limited area. According to factory workers, the fire started when an electrical short circuit caused sparks to fall on foam boxes, which quickly ignited due to the material's excellent insulation properties. Despite workers' attempts to extinguish the fire, they were unable to control its rapid spread and immediately called firefighters. Police will conduct a detailed investigation to determine the cause and take appropriate legal action.
