18-Year-Old Shot in Phatthalung After Attempting to Report Robbery

PHATTHALUNG — On February 7, 2026, an 18-year-old named Phu was seriously injured in a shooting incident after a robbery report. Around 05:20, Pol. Capt. Soros Chana-phan was notified that Phu had been admitted to Phatthalung Hospital with a gunshot graze wound to the head. According to the victim's account, he was robbed by a group of teenagers on motorcycles after midnight, who stole his jacket and cash. When he and his friends attempted to file a police report at Phatthalung City Police Station, officers allegedly refused, directing them to Lam Pam Police Station. While traveling to the recommended police station, Phu was ambushed by three motorcycles. The suspects fired three rounds, with one bullet striking him in the head. A senior friend riding with him managed to control the motorcycle and rush him to the hospital.
