Villagers Flock to Pray and Seek Lucky Numbers from Venerable Mae Chi Boon Ruen During Chinese New Year

At Wat Tha Pha in Ratchaburi province, numerous villagers traveled to pay respects and seek blessings from the statue of Mae Chi Boon Ruen Tong Bun Toem, a venerable Buddhist nun renowned for her spiritual powers. Devotees brought bananas as offerings and participated in a luck-drawing ceremony, reaching into sacred jars to obtain auspicious numbers for the Chinese New Year. Her last close disciple, 91-year-old Lamyai Phonboon, shared stories of Mae Chi Boon Ruen's miraculous events, including a memorable photograph session where candle flames remained steady despite strong winds. The temple has created a memorial statue and shrine to honor her legacy of compassion and spiritual guidance, with villagers seeking blessings for work, family, business, and health.
