Prominent Noodle Shop Owners Die in Tragic Night-Time Car Crash
A prominent noodle shop-owning couple was driving back with relatives after a hot pot dinner when their car swerved in the darkness and violently crashed into a roadside teak tree, killing both of them instantly. The incident occurred at 9:30 PM on February 12, 2024, near the Water Management Project in Muang Chum Subdistrict, Kanchanaburi Province. Police Lieutenant Colonel Songkram Sittisorn from Tha Muang Police Station was notified of the accident involving a white Toyota with Bangkok license plate ญณ 6842. The victims were identified as Adulya Yeetohoon, 62, and Jintana Sadsai, 43, who were well-known local restaurant owners. Two other relatives in the car were seriously injured and rushed to the hospital. Rescue workers had to use special equipment to extract the victims. Relatives who arrived at the scene were devastated, noting that the couple had just finished selling noodles at a temple event before the tragic accident. Local volunteers and residents highlighted the road's dangerous conditions, particularly the lack of street lighting, which they believe contributes to frequent accidents in the area.
