Kanvee Highlights Pa Kor Dam Model and Smart City in Chiang Rai as a Prototype
Kanvee Suebsaeng visited the Pa Kor Dam Subdistrict Municipality in Mae Lao District, Chiang Rai, to study their Smart City Operations Center. Accompanied by Orrapan Nobnob, the municipal secretary, and Sukunya Malee from the Siam Foundation for Sustainable Development, he learned about the center's innovative systems.
The Smart City Operations Center, supported by the Siam Foundation for Sustainable Development, operates 24/7 to handle citizen reports. It features advanced technologies including:
- Smart Watch health monitoring for elderly
- E-learning system with video courses for middle school students
- Smart School Van system with safety tracking
- Facial recognition for student health monitoring
- Electronic document management
- Online citizen request system
- Water level monitoring with emergency alerts
Kanvee praised the small municipality for successfully implementing Smart City technologies. He emphasized that this model could be replicated in other districts, highlighting benefits like reduced paperwork, improved problem tracking, and better management of local issues such as flooding and river pollution.
The Palang Party's policy includes promoting local self-governance, allowing provincial governor elections, and decentralizing power to local municipalities.
