Tragic Accident: Man Killed by Motorcycle While Crossing Street After Calling Wife to Prepare Dinner
A tragic accident unfolded when a 59-year-old man was fatally struck by a motorcycle while crossing the street. At 9:00 PM on January 30th, police from Bang Poo Police Station in Samut Prakan were alerted to a severe motorcycle accident involving a pedestrian. Rescue teams from Samut Prakan Municipal Hospital and Sikarin Hospital arrived at the scene, finding the 59-year-old man with critical injuries, including a severely deformed left leg. Despite extensive CPR attempts, the victim could not be revived. A 24-year-old witness reported that the victim was nearly finished crossing the street when a motorcycle traveling at high speed suddenly struck him in the left lane. The motorcycle was driven by Myanmar nationals, who were also seriously injured and transported to Samut Prakan Hospital. The victim's wife later arrived at the scene, collapsing in tears. She recounted that her husband had called her just before the accident, asking her to prepare dinner and saying he was coming home. She had finished cooking and was waiting for him when she received news of his death. Authorities will continue their investigation and legal proceedings, and the family will be allowed to collect the body for religious funeral rites.
