Air Force Commander Presides Over Royal Bathing Ceremony for Two Pilots Killed in Plane Crash
The Air Force Commander, Air Chief Marshal Seksan Kantha, presided over a special royal bathing ceremony for two pilots, Navy Captain Samatchaya Kunmas and Flight Lieutenant Korawit Jenkid, from the 8th Attack Aircraft Squadron (AT-6TH) of Wing 411, Wing 41. The pilots tragically died during a Combat Search and Rescue training mission. The ceremony was attended by high-ranking Air Force commanders, family members, relatives, and fellow pilots, who mourned the loss of the two brave aviators. At 5:00 PM, His Majesty the King graciously granted a special royal bathing ceremony for the two heroic pilots. Representatives from the Cultural Ministry's funeral protocol office brought the royal water, and the Royal Palace representatives brought a wreath from Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The Air Force has scheduled a 7-day merit-making and prayer ceremony, with the royal cremation planned for Saturday, February 7, 2024, at the Air Force crematorium at Wat Phra Sri Mahathat Woramahaviharn in Bangkok.
