Immigration Police Arrest Vietnamese Woman Wanted for 300 Million Baht Fraud

On February 11, 2024, Police Major General Chernron Rimphadee, spokesperson for the Immigration Bureau, revealed an operation to arrest Ms. Hua Thuy Hang, a 42-year-old Vietnamese national. The arrest was part of the 'Turn Back Crimes' initiative targeting foreign nationals fleeing legal cases. Hang was captured in a residence on Prachasongkrao Soi 16 in Din Daeng, Bangkok, and is wanted for fraud causing over 300 million baht in damages in Vietnam. Her work permit had expired on December 8, 2023, rendering her illegal stay in Thailand. She was taken into custody and will be processed by immigration investigation units for legal proceedings.
