Thai Tourists Praised for Helping Push Snowbound Truck in Japan
A group of Thai tourists received widespread praise online after a video showed them helping to push a truck stuck in deep snow in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. The TikTok video, posted by user @eggtanya on 31 January 2026, documented an incident from 25 January when heavy snowfall had blanketed Sapporo for approximately 16 hours, creating treacherous road conditions.
The tour group was en route to a restaurant when they encountered a truck immobilized in the snow, which was blocking traffic and trapping vehicles behind it. Several members of the group voluntarily got off their bus and worked together to push the truck, successfully clearing the road and allowing traffic to resume.
