Closed for Tourism! Nang Khruan Waterfall at Lam Khlong Ngu National Park Closed Entire February Due to Large Elephant Herd
On February 17th, Lam Khlong Ngu National Park in Kanchanaburi announced a temporary closure of tourism and overnight stays at the Nang Khruan Waterfall due to elephant situation in Moo 6, Thung Nang Khruan Village, Thong Pha Phum District.
In early February, forest elephants were frequently seen, with 15-20 animals residing near the waterfall area. Officials have been continuously monitoring and attempting to drive the elephants back into the forest. For the safety of tourists' lives and property, they are closing nature study trails and overnight camping at Nang Khruan Waterfall from February 16-28.
The Nang Khruan Waterfall is spectacular, featuring 4 levels with the highest level reaching 50-60 meters, creating a misty spray. It is a year-round waterfall with a 1-kilometer nature trail through lush forest, currently accessible up to the 3rd level.
