19-Year-Old Procurer Arrested for Trafficking 15-Year-Old Girl into Prostitution

The Human Trafficking Division arrested Ms. Muk (pseudonym), 19 years old, on an arrest warrant issued by the Criminal Court on January 29th, charging her with human trafficking. The investigation revealed that Muk was using a Line application account to recruit and sell a 15-year-old girl for sexual services in Bangkok and nearby areas. Undercover officers discovered Muk offering the underage girl's services for 2,000 baht, with 1,500 baht going to the girl and 500 baht as a broker's fee. The victim confirmed being contacted and recruited through Line by Muk, with an agreement to share 300 baht of each transaction back to Muk as a service fee. Further investigation uncovered Muk's previous criminal history. In July of last year, she was involved in a severe child abuse incident with her boyfriend, where they brutally assaulted a 2-year-10-month-old child (a friend's son). The child suffered extensive injuries including facial swelling, bruised eye sockets, broken fingers, and brain swelling. At that time, her boyfriend admitted to the assault, while Muk denied involvement and fled the area. Muk was arrested at a rented room in the Bang Khae area of Bangkok and has confessed to all charges. She will be prosecuted according to human trafficking and child exploitation laws.
