Military Rescues Hiking Tourist Who Fell Over 100 Meters in Mountain Ravine
The Singham Task Force military team, led by Colonel Yodchai Phuangwarin, was dispatched along with the Mae Hong Son Disaster Relief Foundation to rescue a single tourist named Somkuan Chomchuen. The tourist was hiking and studying nature with friends when he slipped and fell over 100 meters down a steep ravine in the Doi Huai Phe area of Ban Nam Hu village. Unable to help himself after the accident, the tourist was injured and required immediate rescue. The rescue team successfully reached the victim, provided first aid, and transported him to Sri Sangwan Hospital for further medical treatment. The entire rescue operation was completed safely, with all personnel returning to base by 7:10 PM.
