Police Bust Young Gang Selling Massive Weapons Stash Nationwide

Nakhon Si Thammarat police arrested a young gang selling war weapons across the country, capturing 3 suspects with an extensive arsenal of firearms, explosives, and ammunition on February 12, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Police Regional Command headquarters. Police Major General Pornchai Kachornklin and other senior officers announced the arrest of Sitthipong, 25, Nattaporn, 26, and Jaraneenut, 23, seizing war weapons, short and long firearms, various ammunition types, and multiple M67 explosive devices. Major General Pornchai revealed that metropolitan police conducted an undercover online weapons purchase operation, confirming the three suspects were a young gang operating in the Kha Pang police district, Thung Song district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. Investigations showed the weapons were sold nationwide and to western border regions. The suspects face charges of illegal weapons possession, unauthorized weapons trading, and carrying weapons in public without proper permits.
