Car Veers Off Curve, Crashes into Power Pole, Driver Dies on Spot
A tragic accident occurred when a car swerved off the road, clipped another vehicle, and violently crashed into an electrical pole, with the engine being thrown from the vehicle, resulting in the driver's death at the scene. At 7:00 PM on February 9, 2026, Police Lieutenant Weerachai Namsuna from Pak Plee Police Station in Nakhon Nayok was notified of the incident on the Pak Plee road heading into Nakhon Nayok city. At the scene, a black Nissan with Bangkok license plates was found severely damaged, wedged against a roadside power pole. The 49-year-old male driver from Ban Yai subdistrict was found dead, with rescue workers taking over 20 minutes to extract his body. Preliminary investigations suggest the car lost control, clipped another vehicle's rear, and then spun into the power pole. The body was transported to Srinakharinwirot University Hospital for further procedures.
