Phra Pok Klao Poll Reveals Public Dissatisfaction with Election Commission, Supports Mixed Government Coalition
The Phra Pok Klao Institute conducted its 9th survey on vote buying awareness and preferred government formation, polling 2,000 respondents aged 18 and above across Thailand from February 13-16. Key findings include: 53.6% of people are aware of vote buying in their electoral district, with vote buying prices mostly ranging between 500-1,000 baht. Regional variations show southern and northeastern provinces have highest awareness of vote buying. Nearly 41% have no preferred government formation, but 28.5% support a coalition between Bhumjai Thai, Pheu Thai, and Democrat parties. The Election Commission's performance in preventing electoral fraud remains unsatisfactory, with 40.8% expressing dissatisfaction.
