7-Year-Old Boy Promises Dad to Jump Rope Based on Social Media Likes

Unexpectedly, the video went viral, with likes quickly soaring to over a million. Tang Tou's father, who sells hot pot in Lin'yi, Shandong Province, explained that the boy normally lives with his grandparents in Jiangsu and came to stay during school break. The school assigned a special homework task for children to jump rope 100 times daily. Currently standing 132 cm tall and weighing around 45 kg, the father wanted to encourage his son to exercise seriously. They made a deal: for every 0.5 kg weight loss, the boy would receive 10 yuan (about 45 baht) in pocket money. On the first day, the video got 150 likes, so Tang Tou jumped rope 150 times. The next day, likes exploded to 1.8 million, catching the father completely by surprise.
