DSI Decides to Prosecute Boss Sam and Boss Min in DiIcon Fraud Case
On February 18, 2024, reporters followed up on the DiIcon Group case, where Special Prosecutors initially charged 16 executives on five serious charges including fraud, computer-related offenses, illegal money lending, and unauthorized direct sales business operations. Initially, Yuranant Phamormmontri (Boss Sam) and Peechaya Wattanamontri (Boss Min) were not prosecuted due to insufficient evidence. However, DSI Director Yutana Pradham disputed this decision and recommended prosecution for both individuals. The Attorney General has now reviewed the case and agreed with the DSI recommendation to prosecute both suspects. The Special Prosecutors will now schedule a formal filing of charges, and if the suspects do not appear, DSI will be instructed to bring them in for prosecution in criminal court.
