Manchester United has decided not to extend Jadon Sancho's contract for another 12 months and is ready to release him as a free agent immediately after the end of this season. The 25-year-old 'Mr. Freedom' Sancho was loaned to Aston Villa but still couldn't secure a regular position, despite being a 73 million pound player from Borussia Dortmund. The club's board has decided not to bring him back and will release him for free, avoiding weekly wages of 200,000 pounds for another 12 months, which would total around 2.4 million pounds (1,018 million baht). Sancho had a falling out with the team during Erik ten Hag's management in 2023, after the Dutch coach criticized his training standards. Sancho responded on social media, claiming he was training normally and was being made a scapegoat. Despite performing well in the Bundesliga, Sancho was loaned out to Chelsea, who ultimately did not exercise their option to buy him permanently.
