Mentally Ill Brother Stabs Older Sibling During Moment of Distraction, Resulting in Mutual Injuries

On February 17, 2024 at 7:30 PM, Samut Prakan police were notified of a knife attack involving two injured men at a residence in Prang Plek Subdistrict. The victims were identified as Phong, 60, and Chat Chai, 59, who are brothers. Phong claimed he was watering plants when his younger brother attacked him with a knife, accusing him of urinating in his house and stealing property. Phong denied these allegations. Chai claimed his older brother repeatedly caused trouble by urinating in his house and stealing. The village head confirmed they have a history of frequent arguments, with the younger brother having a known psychiatric history. Investigators are currently collecting evidence and preparing to question both parties to determine legal proceedings.
