Unveiling a New Sacred Amulet - Luang Pho Tab's Coin
Phra Kru Wechkamkanarak, also known as Luang Pho Tab Attakamo of Wat Makham Riang in Ban Mo District, Saraburi Province, was a famous Buddhist monk. Born as Tab Kotcharin on Sunday, November 12, 1911, in Ban Kradon, he was ordained at age 21 on May 5, 1933, with Phra Kru Sri Khanaphiban (Chom) as his mentor. In 1946, the monastic council appointed him as the temple abbot, and he worked with the local community to develop the temple. In 1988, he was granted the ecclesiastical title of Phra Kru, becoming the district monk leader. He passed away on December 31, 1989, at 78 years old, with his body remaining remarkably preserved. His disciples placed his body in a glass coffin for worship. He created various sacred amulets including talismans, special edition coins, and blessed objects that were highly sought after by followers.
