ONEP Inspects World Heritage Forest Corridor on Highway 304
On February 18, Raveewan Puridech, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, assigned Bannaruk Sermrthong, Secretary-General of ONEP, along with national environmental committee members and expert assessment officials, to inspect the World Heritage Forest Corridor project. The 3.5-kilometer forest corridor is located on Highway 304 in Nadi District, Prachinburi Province, connecting Khao Yai and Tap Lan National Parks. The project is designed as a wildlife corridor to reduce animal-related road accidents and increase biodiversity, featuring wildlife tunnels, small animal passages, and protective fencing to minimize disruption to the natural environment. The project was approved by the expert committee in May 2556 (2013) and by the National Environment Committee in July 2557 (2014).
