Supreme Court Postpones Hearing for Election Commission's Criminal Case Against Former Senator
The Supreme Court has postponed the evidence examination in the Election Commission's criminal case against former senator Kamphol Lertkiratdamrong, who is accused of hiring candidates to help elect his wife as a senator in Chachoengsao province. On February 3, 2024, the court issued a notice to reschedule the hearing to March 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM in Courtroom 5. On November 8, 2023, the Election Commission voted to file a petition with the Supreme Court requesting the revocation of Kamphol's election rights, alleging violations of electoral laws including hiring candidates and attempting to manipulate the senatorial election process.
