AirAsia Launches Special Chinese New Year International Flights Starting at 1,789 Baht
AirAsia, in partnership with Don Mueang Airport and the Tourism Authority of Thailand, is hosting an energetic welcome for Chinese tourists during the Chinese New Year festival. This year's festival has seen a significant number of tourists traveling to Thailand, with passenger transport rates from China reaching up to 95%, particularly from cities like Wuhan, Chongqing, and Changsha.
Special flights from Macau and Chongqing will feature welcome activities, with AirAsia and Don Mueang Airport distributing commemorative gifts and hosting in-flight events for incoming flights from China.
AirAsia has launched a special promotion for the Chinese New Year, offering promotional fares to Chinese destinations including Macau, Hong Kong, Taipei, and Kaohsiung, starting at 1,789 baht per flight when booked through AirAsia MOVE. Bookings are available from February 16-22, 2024, for travel between March 2 and November 30, 2024.
Thanyasita Akkaralit, Commercial Director of Thai AirAsia, noted that this year's Chinese New Year festival shows increased travel from Chinese tourists to Thailand, which is a positive signal for the country's tourism. She highlighted that Thailand remains an attractive destination for Chinese and international tourists, while Thai travelers are also increasingly interested in visiting Chinese cities.
