Busted: Police Arrest 17 Motorcycle Racing Gang Members on Vibhavadi Road, Seize 14 Vehicles

On February 22, 2024, a joint police operation led by senior traffic officers successfully cracked down on a motorcycle racing gang that was causing disruption on Vibhavadi Road. The operation was part of the 'Vibhavadi Safe Road Project' and targeted a group of motorcycle riders who were creating dangerous conditions by racing and riding recklessly during late-night hours. A total of 17 individuals were apprehended - 10 minors and 7 adults - with 14 motorcycles seized as evidence. The court sentenced the adult offenders to one month in jail, a 10,000 baht fine, and suspended sentences, while the minors were referred to the Bangkok Juvenile Protection Center for legal proceedings.
