Arrested on Tour Bus: Police Intercept Fugitive Wanted for Four Years of Drug-Fueled Shooting Incidents

Highway police intercepted a bus and captured Rochalee (last name withheld), 31, with an outstanding arrest warrant on Highway 43 in Pattani Province. The incident stems from December 17, 2021, when the suspect, under the influence of methamphetamine and out of his mind, stood in the middle of the road with a firearm and fired at a vehicle and the home of a debtor named 'Mr. A'. The suspect was attempting to demand 60,000 baht in outstanding debt, causing damage to the victim's vehicle and creating such fear that the residents could not remain in the home. The shootings occurred in Maemar Subdistrict, Yaring District, Pattani Province. After receiving tips that Rochalee was traveling by bus, police set up an interception, found him in the back of the bus, and arrested him on charges of attempted murder, property damage, and drug distribution.
