Pure Heart Foundation Donates Wheelchairs and Essential Supplies to Patients in Ratchaburi

The Pure Heart Foundation and their team visited Ratchaburi to donate wheelchairs and essential items to two elderly and bedridden patients with chronic conditions and mobility restrictions, helping to reduce family financial burdens and improve their daily life. On January 30, 2024, Thienrat Nawamawat, the foundation's president, collaborated with the People's Station program from Thai PBS to deliver two wheelchairs to elderly individuals with mobility issues and financial constraints. The first wheelchair was given to Mr. Somnuk Ariyathat, 76, from Photharam District in Ratchaburi. He has been paralyzed on his left side for over 5 years, unable to walk and moving by sliding on the ground, which has caused bodily wounds and significant daily difficulties. Currently, Mr. Somnuk and his wife rely mainly on elderly allowances and disability support, making it impossible for them to purchase a wheelchair independently. The second wheelchair was delivered to Mrs. Long Siangwong, 94, from Ban Pong District. She is a bedridden elderly woman with multiple chronic conditions including diabetes, high blood pressure, and a hip fracture, preventing her from walking for over 10 years. She requires monthly medical visits, which have been challenging to manage. Additionally, the foundation received support from Mum and Me Care Company, providing body cleaning spray and adult diapers to help with hygiene and care for both patients. Thienrat Nawamawat emphasized the foundation's commitment to helping vulnerable elderly and physically limited individuals, especially those lacking opportunities and resources. The wheelchair donation not only reduces family burdens but also provides moral support to help patients and their families live happily. The Pure Heart Foundation continues to be dedicated to helping vulnerable social groups through direct field work and collaboration with various organizations, aiming to create a sharing society that leaves no one behind.
