Honda LPGA Prepares to Welcome 72 World-Class Golfers - US Players Dominate Lineup
The Honda LPGA Thailand 2026 is set to welcome one of the strongest golf lineups in the tournament's history, with major world champions gathering to compete for a single trophy at Siam Country Club Old Course in Chonburi from February 19-22. This year's competition is packed with world-class talent, featuring 18 major champions with a combined 24 titles and 45 LPGA Tour professional champions with a total of 175 championship victories. The tournament reflects the highest standards of experience and determination, with players competing across 72 holes in a strokeplay format with no cuts, competing for a total prize pool of 1.8 million US dollars (approximately 60 million baht). After officially announcing all 72 players, the event's excitement intensifies, with the United States sending the largest contingent of 15 players, followed by Japan with 12, South Korea with 10, and other countries including Australia, China, Sweden, France, and Spain. The star-studded lineup includes world-class players like Thai star 'Pro Gene' Ariya Jutanugarn, current world number one with 7 LPGA titles, alongside international stars like Lydia Ko from New Zealand and Jin Young Ko from South Korea. The tournament is known for its challenging course, particularly its firm, fast, and highly sloped greens where small mistakes can dramatically impact scores and leaderboards can shift continuously, often resulting in nail-biting finishes right up to the last hole.
