Weather Update: Meteorological Department Warns of Thunderstorms in 12 Provinces
The Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast for the next 24 hours. Northern and Northeastern regions will continue to experience cool temperatures with morning fog. Eastern and Central regions, including Bangkok and its vicinity, will see scattered thunderstorms due to a weakening high-pressure system and cool air mass covering upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Southern regions will also experience occasional thunderstorms due to the northeast monsoon covering the Gulf of Thailand, Southern Thailand, and the Andaman Sea. Wave heights in the lower Gulf will range from 1-2 meters, with thunderstorm areas experiencing waves over 2 meters. Citizens are advised to take precautions, particularly in areas with fog and potential maritime conditions. Particulate matter in upper Thailand is currently at moderate to high levels due to weak air circulation.
