Lucky Couple Wins 12 Million Baht Lottery After Praying at Shrine

On February 1st, employees of Gu Sport Design Buriram celebrated with Wichian Duangkrachai, 55, and Jiraporn Boonmak, 52, a married couple from Phaisai Sub-district in Prakhonchai District, Buriram Province, who are heads of the company's sewing department. The couple won the government lottery's first prize with the number 174629, matching two lottery tickets they purchased worth 12 million baht. Jiraporn explained that during a company building blessing ceremony on January 19th, she lit incense at the shrine and noticed the number 629, which prompted her to buy lottery tickets with that number. On the lottery draw day, when she saw the last three digits matched their ticket, they discovered they had won the first prize. They plan to donate part of the money to charity, pay off debts, buy a car and a house. Despite their big win, they intend to continue working normally, understanding the value of hard work.
