Linthiporn Slams Anuthon, Comparing Him to Hun Sen, Accusing of Manipulating Nationalism to Maintain Political Power

On January 31, 2024, Linthiporn Varinavatcharoroj, former Deputy Minister of Education and Pheu Thai Party list MP candidate, posted on Facebook criticizing Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anuthon Charnweerakul's speech, which used Cambodia and nationalism as political weapons. Linthiporn stated that she firmly believes all Thais love their country, regardless of where they live. However, nationalism should not be used as a political tool. Historically, nationalism has been used to discredit political opponents. Despite living in an advanced AI technological era, the Bhumjai Thai Party continues to use old-style political tactics - destructive rhetoric that creates hatred and division, prioritizing political gains over policies that should benefit the people. She compared Anuthon's approach to Hun Sen, who previously used nationalism by burning the Thai embassy or creating border conflicts to maintain his power. Linthiporn argues that the Bhumjai Thai Party and Anuthon are no different, using nationalism to create hatred and force people to choose sides, while all Thais are ready to protect Thailand's sovereignty.
