Exposed: Influencer's Assistant Uses AI to Impersonate Her, Steals 5.2 Million Baht in Livestream Scam

The Chinese influencer world is rocked by a scandal where a long-time personal assistant worked for 6 years before using AI to fake images and impersonate her in livestreams, earning over 5.2 million baht in tips. Chen Xin, the owner of the @Daxin-kissis account with over 3 million followers, revealed that her assistant, with the surname 'Jiang', created a fake persona claiming to study at Harvard Medical School, despite never leaving China and living in Zhejiang province. Jiang used Chen's password to enter her home, stealing brand-name clothes, sleepwear, and stockings to take photos. The assistant even used AI technology to replace Chen's body and face in previously unpublished photos, creating a more luxurious and credible image. By faking her IP location to appear in the United States, Jiang conducted livestreams in January and received tips totaling 1.14 million yuan (approximately 5.2 million baht). The fraud was discovered when a social media user noticed the fake account was using Chen's actual home as a background. When confronted, Jiang initially admitted to the act 'because of self-delusion', but later denied all allegations. Chen has now issued a legal notice for violation of image rights, reputation, and privacy.
