Police Deputy Spokesperson Assures Full Support in Immigration Officer Murder Case by 17-Year-Old Youth
The Deputy National Police Office Spokesperson, Police Major General Trirong Phiwphann, visited the site to track the progress of a case involving a 17-year-old male who stabbed and killed Sergeant Sutthiwut Hokklang, an Immigration Police investigation officer. The incident occurred after a road collision dispute in Samut Prakan province on the early morning of February 1, 2026. Police from Samut Prakan Municipal Police Station quickly apprehended the suspect on the same day, charging him with 'intentional murder' and 'illegally carrying a knife in public'. Police leadership has ordered a thorough, fair, and transparent investigation while promising to provide full support and compensation to the victim's family. Authorities are currently collecting additional evidence, including CCTV footage, witness testimonies, and forensic results before proceeding with legal actions through the juvenile justice system.
