Zelenskyy Reveals 55,000 Ukrainian Troops Killed, CSIS Estimates Russian Losses at 325,000

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the fight against Russian invasion, which has lasted nearly 4 years, has resulted in approximately 55,000 Ukrainian military casualties. The US special envoy described recent negotiations between Russian and Ukrainian government officials in the United Arab Emirates as 'detailed and effective'. Zelenskyy mentioned in a French TV interview that many people have gone missing during the sovereignty invasion. The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) estimates that by the end of 2025, Ukrainian military deaths could reach 140,000, while Russian military losses are projected to exceed 325,000 during the same period. The Russian Defense Ministry has not disclosed casualty figures since September 2022, when they last reported nearly 6,000 Russian military deaths.
