Mourning the Loss of School Director Sasiphat, Who Died Protecting Students

School director Sasiphat of Patong Pratarn Khiriwat School has died after protecting her students during a violent incident. An 18-year-old male suspect, who had stolen a weapon from police, invaded the school in Hat Yai, Songkhla province, shooting the director and a 14-year-old female student before taking students hostage. The situation ended when police surrounded the area and the suspect surrendered. A local foundation's Facebook page posted a message of condolence at 03:00 on February 12, 2024, expressing sympathy for Sasiphat Sinsamosorn and her family.
